EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM  REAR BUMPER  REASSEMBLY  

1.INSTALL REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR (for Type A)

HINT:

When installing the rear bumper protector, heat the rear bumper moulding using a heat light.

Standard:

Item	Temperature
Rear Bumper Moulding	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

NOTICE:

Do not heat the rear bumper moulding excessively.

a.

Clean the rear bumper moulding surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper moulding surface.

ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper moulding.

iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

b.

Install a new rear bumper protector.

i.

Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the rear bumper protector installation area.

NOTICE:

·

Use a clean brush or felt.

·

Do not touch the rear bumper moulding until the primer has dried.

ii.

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper moulding.

iii.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear bumper protector.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

iv.

Install a new rear bumper protector in the position shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Press the rear bumper protector firmly to install it.

2.INSTALL REAR BUMPER MOULDING (for Type A)

a.

Install the rear bumper moulding with the 3 nuts.

b.

Install the 2 clips.

HINT:

Insert the clip and pass the mark-off line.

c.

Install the 2 screws.
